OUR SERVICES

Painting & Drywall Services in the Bay Area

  • Interior painting is the process of preparing, priming and applying finish coats to the inside walls, ceilings, trim and doors of a home or business. We handle every step: moving or masking furniture, repairing nail holes and cracks, sanding, caulking, priming, and applying two finish coats of premium paint from brands like Sherwin-Williams, Benjamin Moore and Dunn-Edwards. We work clean — drop cloths on every floor, plastic on every surface — and we work quietly. Most Bay Area homes are tighter quarters than suburbs elsewhere in California, so we plan room-by-room so you can keep living in your space while we paint it.

Common interior jobs we do across Alameda, Oakland and SF: whole-home color refreshes before selling or moving in, accent walls, popcorn-ceiling removal and retexture, trim and baseboard repaints, and color-matching old walls after drywall repair.

  • Exterior painting is the preparation and application of weather-resistant coatings to the outside of a building — siding, stucco, trim, fascia, doors, garages and eaves. Bay Area exteriors take a specific beating: coastal fog and salt air in Alameda and San Francisco, strong afternoon sun in Fremont and Union City, and constant temperature swings across the East Bay. That's why prep work matters more here than almost anywhere else. Our exterior process includes pressure washing, scraping loose paint, spot-priming bare wood and bleed-through areas, caulking seams, and applying two coats of exterior-grade acrylic or elastomeric paint rated for California's climate.

We work on Victorian homes in the Gold Coast and Pacific Heights, Craftsman bungalows in Rockridge and Harbor Bay, stucco ranches in Fremont and Union City, Eichlers across the peninsula, and modern builds throughout the East Bay. We're also comfortable with HOA color-submittal processes — common in Bay Farm, Mission San Jose and newer Union City developments.

  • Drywall installation is the process of hanging, taping, mudding and sanding new gypsum board to create finished interior walls and ceilings. We install drywall for home additions, garage conversions, ADUs (accessory dwelling units — a growing category across Alameda and Oakland), tenant improvements in commercial spaces, and basement or attic finish-outs. Every install includes proper framing inspection, moisture-rated board in bathrooms and laundry rooms, fire-rated board where code requires, and a smooth Level 4 or Level 5 finish ready for paint.

  • Drywall repair is the patching, retexturing and blending of damaged drywall so the fix is invisible under paint. This is one of our most-requested calls in the Bay Area because of water leaks (a common issue in older Alameda and Oakland homes), settling cracks, doorknob holes, and damage from plumbing or electrical work. We fix holes from a quarter-sized nail pop all the way up to full sheet replacements. Every repair includes matching the existing wall texture — orange peel, knockdown, skip-trowel or smooth — and we repaint the affected area so the repair disappears.

  • Wall texture is a decorative or functional finish applied over drywall — orange peel, knockdown, skip-trowel, Santa Fe, and smooth (Level 5) are the most common in California homes. Skim coating is the process of applying a thin layer of joint compound across a wall to create a perfectly smooth, modern finish. We offer both: matching existing textures after repair work, or removing dated textures (popcorn ceilings, heavy knockdown) and skim-coating walls to a smooth, contemporary finish — a popular upgrade in Oakland Hills, SF modern remodels, and Alameda homes being prepped for sale.

  • Cabinet refinishing is the sanding, priming and spraying of kitchen or bathroom cabinet boxes, doors and drawer fronts to transform their look without replacing them. Done right, it saves homeowners 60–80% versus full cabinet replacement and delivers a factory-quality finish. We remove all doors and drawers, set up a dust-controlled spray area, and apply a bonding primer plus two coats of cabinet-grade enamel (water-based or solvent-based depending on the existing finish). This is one of our highest-impact interior services — a single cabinet repaint can make a 1990s kitchen look new — and it's especially popular in Alameda, Piedmont, and Berkeley homes being updated before sale.

  • Color consultation is the process of choosing interior or exterior paint colors that fit your home's architecture, lighting and your personal taste. We offer this free as part of any estimate. Oscar has spent 23 years watching what colors hold up in Bay Area light — how coastal fog flattens warm tones, how Oakland Hills sun makes certain grays read blue, why most Victorians look best in a three-color scheme. We'll bring physical color decks from Sherwin-Williams, Benjamin Moore and Dunn-Edwards, walk your home, and help you pick colors you'll still love in five years.

  • Commercial painting covers any non-residential project: offices, retail storefronts, restaurants, warehouses, medical offices, schools and multi-unit buildings. We work evenings and weekends when needed to avoid disrupting your business, carry commercial liability coverage, and handle everything from a single demising wall to full exterior repaints of industrial buildings. Common Bay Area commercial work includes Oakland and SF office tenant improvements, Fremont and Union City retail and restaurant refreshes, and HOA-contracted building maintenance across Alameda County.
