Rodriguez Excel Painting Inc. is a licensed Bay Area painting and drywall contractor based in Alameda, California and serving homes and businesses across Oakland, San Francisco, Fremont, Union City, Hayward, San Leandro and Berkeley. The company is owned and operated by Oscar O. Rodriguez, who has been in the trade for 23 years.
Oscar started at 16, helping his father paint houses. That was the first classroom. Over two decades he went on to work for larger companies across California — bigger crews, bigger projects, bigger stakes — and each job added something: spray technique, color theory, how to run a schedule, how to talk to a nervous homeowner, how to keep a crew tight when the weather turns. By the time he started Rodriguez Excel Painting, he had enough of every piece to run it the way he always wished the companies he worked for would have run theirs.
The company is fully licensed by the California Contractors State License Board (CSLB License #1152935) and carries general liability insurance. We pull permits when permits are required, we pay our crew well, and we don't cut prep work to win a bid. That's the whole model.

Painting is one of the few trades where the customer sees every inch of the result, every day, for years. A crooked cut line on baseboard will bother someone every time they vacuum. A missed spot on a ceiling will be the first thing they notice when they lie down at night. We take that seriously.
Our work is built on four things Oscar wrote on the intake form when he first described what makes him different: friendly, responsible, trustful, punctual. That's the job. Answer the phone. Show up when we said we'd show up. Tell the truth about what something costs before we start. Finish clean. If something goes wrong, come back and fix it without being asked twice.

We don't do phone quotes. Every estimate is walked on-site so we can see the wall conditions, the stucco, the light, the trim — and give you a real number, not a guess.
